2008 Memory Walk

It is the boys' first "walk" . . . The Memory Walk benefiting Alzheimer's Research. What a beautiful day for it too!
All snapped in ready to go . . .

Grandma, Travis and Carter pose mid-walkMore fun pictures:
Carter supporting the Irish!
Cute story: Every night the boys somehow make their way together to cuddle . . . But lately the boys have started rolling around when waking up. One morning I caught Tyler rolled over on his belly - still swaddled (VERY scary!). . . We decided right away they needed their arms free or we needed to have them sleep in separate cribs. So we decided to try this first: we left their arms out but put them as far apart in the crib as possible so they wouldn't roll over onto one another. Ten minutes later we walked in to check on them and this is what we found.
So anxious to crawl! (Tyler is on the left)

4 Months!

Carter has taken the lead. Their 4-month doctor's appointment was a week and a half ago . . . Carter weighted in at 16 pounds 10 ounces (90%!) and Tyler was 16 pounds 5 ounces. Just as we had expected cause Tyler tends to spit up more. However, this week that has drastically improved- does he sense his brother is getting bigger?

Now- they are probably close to 17 pounds! Such big guys . . .

Every morning I walk into this. . . the cuddle. So sweet.

So close to sitting on their own- they are practicing in their bumbos. . . .

A Weekend with the Goffriers

We went to visit my best friend Jenny, her husband Chris, and lil' "sweet pea" Lillie for the weekend in Bend- which meant Fun for ALL- including Maizy. . . . She went to a place called Double Dog Ranch where we sent her off in style . . . On a Bus!!

Then it was off for a long car drive ahead! The boys did great . . . right till it got dark. Then they were a little scared. . . . or perhaps confused. (Carter is on the left, Tyler on the right)

Below is Jenny, Chris, and Lillie. Jenny is also expecting a new little one this February and it seems Lillie is ready. She loved the babies and would get so upset when they cried. Even when "taking a nap" - when one of the twins got fussy - you could hear her on the monitor wake up and say "Baby!" . . .
I love this picture of Tyler going down for a nap. . . I think he's wondering why he has a pink around him. It's because his mom forgot their blankets and anything forgotten means borrowing from Lillie!

Saturday was a fantastic day! Even Tyler got a kick out of watching Notre Dame slaughter Michigan. . . .

With an Oregon State win as well, it was a complete football day!

To make it even better the boys got to play a round of golf out at Remington Ranch. Jenny and I joined to walk a couple of holes with the little ones . . . but the men took over carrying the clubs and kids.

Travis with Tyler

Kara with Carter

Sunday was Tyler and Carter's first experience at a real pool.

Tyler waves at the camera. . . enjoying a little ride . . .

And Carter showed REAL talent. . . . the boys float! It was hysterical how they just popped up above the water. Maybe their nicknames "Roly" & "Poly" (given by their great aunts and uncles) are fitting.

A Busy August

Baptisms and a Beach Trip- We've had a busy August!
Tyler and Carter were baptized on the 24th at St. Pius X.
Tyler with his Godparents (Mike and Kylie). . .
And Carter with his (Brian and Karen)
Gigi made them their Gowns and the Godmothers got them ready for the very special occasion.
We thank everyone who came- especially those who traveled from far! Yes, all of Tyler and Carter's aunts and uncles were there . . .
And so were all of the Buck Cousins. Too funny planning a picture with them all. Camden couldn't get enough of the babies and Lucy (Megan's little girl with the curly dark hair) couldn't get enough of it all! Just a little poser! Mary is all grown up and so well behaved. . . Luke and Holden are just 1 so what can you expect? And little Chiara (Amy's baby girl) . . . she is BEAUTIFUL- older than Tyler and Carter but much smaller- just dainty- with the longest eyelashes you've ever seen!
Yes- Camden adores our two little guys. Before the trip he couldn't WAIT to meet them and all week long wanted to hold them and help feed them. My favorite- he would go down the long list and say to you in his sweet voice: "Look- their cute little head. . . look, their cute little ears . . . little nose . . . little hands . . . little feet"
He is going to be such a great big cousin!

The next day we headed for a week at the Oregon Cost to celebrate (a belated) Popi's 60th Birthday.
Here are my favorite pictures from the trip:

Popi with Luke!
Clothes then came off- yes- the weather was GORGEOUS!
A day when sunscreen was necessary . . .

I love this picture of Camden leading Luke down the beach. . .
Our godson Holden is the cutest little boy! He has the most beautiful big brown eyes.

Luke and Holden also loved the babies . . .

Here's Carter . . .

And Tyler trying to get his face in the sun!
I can't kiss them enough: Tyler is on the left- Carter the right.
